Brits Who Made The Modern World: The Lotus 25
its this to do with 9/11? cause its 2 days later
I Love Indycar
Speaking as an American who was alive when that happened the gesture was greatly appreciated
I don't know what is so heartwarming in a way to see a country that is an entire ocean away from the United States, being so effected by 9/11 that the people in the crowd have tears in their eyes, but it is.
I still can’t believe they made a man the Queen of England 😤 All jokes aside, may she rest in peace ❤️❤️
This would be Kyle Petty's last top 5 finish until the 2007 Coca-Cola 600
This shows we have help
Geoffrey Bodine has to hold some sort of record for damaging perfectly good race cars
We shall fight them on the Beaches, we shall fight them on the Landing Grounds, we shall never surrender . . .
I love this Because Big Brother (England) giving Lil Bro(USA) a shoulder....Ya become besties again cause you realize there's assholes out there that hate the 2 of ya....Brothers fight.... They did....They do And Now Lil Bro won't let anyone &^%$ w you....."Whose car we gonna take?"
I miss you Peter

At least one of the top 20 videos on RUclips .. if you don't know you just don't know
I was there watching the race in 1957. It was a truly historic performance by Fangio. His driving was always very smooth and in total control of the car. I graduated from Frankfurt American High School in 1957 and left for the US slightly after this.
Come on America don't loose your great country! The UK is lost! 😥
🇬🇧 🇺🇸
Change the title of this video to include 9/11 and the Queen. Took me ages to find it.
This was a race I wasn't born yet 🎉it's fun watching this
We are very fortunate to have so much film of probably the best performances in F1 history. Only matched by Tazio Nuvolari in 1935.
9/11 was tragic and yet beautiful in how it brought us together . I hope we as gen z can realize this sooner than later , we need to stand proud 🥲 🇺🇸
This really just goes to show that the entire western world were All Americans during that time, no matter what country they were from.
And they had their hands on their hearts. So much respect for rhe late queen and the people of The UK. The emotions you can see from the crowd......we stand as one.
God bless Queen Elizabeth the ll may she rest in peace!
All our for fathers are turning over in their Graves! Lol
Tears come to my eyes every single time The Star Spangled Banner is played. It's amazing to see how it also happened to our friends across the pond.
This is the year holden and ford can win since they destroyed what made Australian racing. Corruption. What made Bathurst so good was all the different every day models you could buy and seeing them racing..
No seatbelts, completely useless helmets, no Nomex, no aero, or fat tires, just a big steering wheel and, big balls.
Our Queen was so special, and am sure Charles is a great King.
Cale Yarborough's 1st & only win as a car owner
Independant driver/owner like Wendell Scott, right Buck?
We were so united then
Imagine if you were an American traveling to London before/during 9/11 and for several days you are stranded from getting into the United States and then you hear this played in front of Buckingham Palace. I would be breaking down right then and there. I was 13 years old on 9/11. Thank you to the United Kingdom and her late Majesty.
As an American this is so moving to know that other countries stood with us in our time of tragedy. I hope everyone in the UK knows that the passing of the queen was felt equally by us as well.
Just as a wee bit of added perspective on this. On 11th September, there were thousands of American tourists in London, as there often are. You can imagine being so far from home when something like that happened. There were dozens of Americans in the crowd outside
Before the world went to utter shit with terrorist groups in every nation, borders collapsing, 857 different genders, etc.
No matter the jokes or quarrels, we always love our brothers across the pond, the greatest allies with equal spirit from the same mother 🇺🇸🤝🏻🇬🇧
And then you elected the orange pervert.
I posted long time ago and watching this again ? To all my England peeps across the pond just know the US will always have your backs , and thank for the good music and Jim Marshall ( he created Marshall Amps ) ❤
I was there in the infield 4th turn awesome race
This was extremely emotional for many people. Having the Queen play The Star-Spangled Banner during America's darkest times just shows how much of an alliance we have between each other. God bless her Majesty.
I am certain God Saved this Queen. In America, we miss you QEII.
I'd never heard of this happening. Brought a tear to my eye to think of those great losses: 9/11, Peter Jennings, the Queen, and news broadcasts run by adults.
Thats our mother nation, no matter what, we ran away but will always be our mother.
It’s amazing how many people there are singing the lyrics!
please what is name of sound at 00:10
DEI was going to take over NASCAR.and we all know/knew that.
Every time a Bodine crashes, they always say "it's a shame"... Every time....
Back in those days your season tickets where fought over in a divorce or left to someone in there will they where like gold just wild how things have changed be hard now to give them away for free
And then there was something powerful at the time when the black demon raced by at full speed. In the last three laps, you could hear the crowd screaming with joy. It was crazy. From a personal point of view, if NASCAR wants to maintain the excitement of the 80s and 90s, they should go back to using cars like the Chevy Lumina, Ford Thunderbird, Buick Regal, Oldsmobile Cutlass, Pontiac Grand Prix, and Buick LeSabre. They should also bring back the Chrysler Mopar cars. Additionally, they need to add flaps to prevent cars from flipping like what happened to Rick Mast at 02:51:16. They should keep the look and especially the paint schemes from that era. Nowadays, it feels like they took a pigeon, stuffed it, and then threw colorful paint tubes at the cars to create a scheme. Seriously, safety is important, but at what cost? Also, today's drivers lack class and personality. I'm sorry, but even Kyle Busch, when I see him, I feel like the fans, the people annoy him, like he's fed up with talking to people about racing. Honestly, I love NASCAR, even today I watch it, but I have to force myself. That's the problem. I force myself, thinking, "You never know, there might be a cool event," and I don't want to miss it. But then, we watch today's races, and after 2 or 3 hours, we're like, "Damn, this is boring." Twenty-five yellow flags, cars finishing as new and in good condition as when they started... In the end, thank goodness for RUclips and Smiff TV uploading the best NASCAR races ever.
I can understand that Ernie Irvan was probably a bit too agitated at the time, and '91 was still relatively early in his Winston Cup career. He had only been in WC for 3 or 4 years, if I remember correctly. But to have the wisdom to take the microphone, apologize, and acknowledge his bad behavior, humbly, I found it quite moving. It must not have been easy, especially when you see Rusty Wallace not applauding, which might suggest he wasn't necessarily in agreement. 13:54 No way, am I dreaming or what? I just realized that we could hear the drivers explaining their strategy or communicating with the pit crew 100 times better back in the day compared to today in 2024 with the technology we have, lol. I swear, compare Ken Schrader talking to Ken Squire back then and Larson communicating with the pit crew today, and you'll see the astronomical difference.
